Company Profile
Seven Up Bottling Co. of Reno is the only soft drink bottler in the
state of Nevada, and a third generation family owned company. Our company
was established in 1905 by Ed Chism as Chism Ice Cream Co. Back then, it
distributed it's own formula ice cream to cafes, hotels, and stores. Chism Ice
Cream started in a small wheel house on the Truckee River, the current pushed
the waterwheel to turn the ice cream maker. The company is now one of the
oldest and most successful family-owned businesses in Northern
Nevada. Seven Up Bottling Co. of Reno expanded into the beverage bottling business in 1933.
Our company has grown tremendously, and now employs nearly 140 people in it's
Reno, Nevada; Chico, California; and, Boise, Idaho branches. We also
produce more than 3 million cases of beverages annually. Our product line
includes the following family of products: 7UP, Dr Pepper, Royal Crown,
Sunkist Orange, A & W Root Beer, Diet Rite, and Welch's. Effective
January 1, 2002, we became the Snapple Distributor for this territory. In addition,
the plant distributes a variety of water products including Fiji Artesian Water,
Deja Blue, and Aqua Mountain
Water. Limited varieties include Seagram's carbonated mixes and Clearly
Canadian. And recently we have launched the introduction of Motion Potion,
a Glucosamine beverage to the trade.
